The Roots of La Carota Logo

La Carota Logo

La Carota Productionz was born several years ago, in my first approaches to the world of graffiti and with my first friends with the same interests. “Carota” in Italian means “carrot”, and I’ve always loved the orange hue of carrots, a color I used a lot in early graffiti. I drew a stylized carrot after some jokes with friends and we liked the result, it became more or less our first crew, but then it ended there. Over the years, however, I have always loved this strange logo and from time to time I have worked on it applying my new knowledge in graphics.

In the first image you can see how from the paper drawing, in pencil and ink, we move on to a rough logo draft, used for a few years, but without a real purpose. Later I improved the digital versions a lot, going from simple raster images, to a quality that has become obsolete over the years, and arriving at high resolution vectorial versions of La Carota. I especially prefer the last three versions, even if it’s not a very elaborate logo.
