The choice of the star as a logo depends on two factors, I have always liked the stars and my name, Nova, indicates a type of star in astronomy. I have always drawn stars, styling them more and more, in the form, and then giving them also the appearance of a face, only with a few strokes, more and more simplified.
Years ago I created a sort of monstrous star, on a piece of paper with a pencil and a highlighter, it was still imperfect and I digitized it to modify it with programs that were a bit useless at the time and with little experience in computer graphics. But as I refined more and more I came to the final result, making the star symmetrical, albeit in low resolution, which for the time (around 2000) was still a good result.
Many years later I improved my technique a lot and started to vectorize a lot of jobs, at the beginning I wasn’t very expert, to be honest, over the years then I refined the technique using better methods. Here I had subdivided the drawing by colors digitizing and vectorizing the whole area, so I created three vectorial that I then recombined together to create the final logo that I then later cleaned up a bit and improved, the final result is this, here in the blue version.
